Bloom ("Bloom," "the App," "we," "us," or "our"), operated by Soul Navigators, is a faith-based, educational, and supportive app for people recovering from narcissistic abuse and high-conflict relationships. This Privacy Policy explains what information the App collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. By using Bloom, you agree to this Policy.
The short version
You can use Bloom without giving us your name or email. The App creates an anonymous account for you on your device.
What you write - your journal entries, prayer reflections, documented incidents, and messages to Solana - is stored so the App can show it back to you and so Solana can be helpful over time.
When you chat with Solana, your messages are sent to a third-party AI provider (OpenAI) to generate a reply.
Your data is protected with access controls and encryption in transit and at rest. It is not end-to-end encrypted, because some features need the service to process your content.
We do not sell your data, and we do not use it for advertising.
You can ask us to delete your data at any time.
1. Information We Collect
Information you provide
Content you create in the App: journal entries, prayer reflections and answers, gratitude entries, incidents you save to your records (your "evidence vault"), and the messages you send to Solana.
Photos or images you choose to attach to your records.
Optional profile details, such as a first name or the recovery phase you select.
An optional email address, only if you choose to provide one.
Information collected automatically
An anonymous account identifier created for you, so your content stays tied to your device without requiring a name or email.
Limited technical information needed to operate and maintain the App, such as app version and general device type.
2. How We Use Your Information
To provide the App's core features: saving your entries and records, and showing them back to you.
To power Solana, including remembering relevant context across sessions so she can respond helpfully.
To operate, maintain, secure, and improve the App.
To protect the service and prevent abuse, for example by applying fair-use limits.
To communicate with you about the App, if you have given us your email.
3. AI Features and Third Parties
Solana is powered by a third-party AI provider (OpenAI). When you chat with Solana, the content of your messages, along with relevant context such as recent messages and information you have saved in the App, is sent to OpenAI to generate a response. Optional spoken replies also use this provider to turn text into audio. The on-device reading voice used for Bible passages and devotionals does not send your content anywhere.
Please do not share anything with Solana that you would not want processed by an AI provider.
4. How Your Information Is Stored and Protected
Your information is stored using our hosting and database provider (Supabase). It is protected by access controls, so your records are tied to your account, and it is encrypted in transit and at rest. Your data is not end-to-end encrypted, because some features - such as Solana remembering context to help you - require the service to process your content. No method of storage or transmission is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
5. How We Share Information
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not use it for advertising. We share information only:
With service providers that help us run the App, such as our hosting and database provider (Supabase), our AI provider (OpenAI), and, if you make a purchase, the app store and payment processor that handles it (for example, Apple).
If you opt in to emails, with the provider we use to send them.
When required by law, or when we believe in good faith it is necessary to protect the safety, rights, or property of you, us, or others.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You can review and edit much of your content directly in the App.
Uninstalling the App removes data stored locally on your device. To have information stored on our servers deleted, please contact us.
Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights over your personal information, such as the right to access or delete it. To exercise them, contact us at contact@bibleforsurvivors.org.
7. Children's Privacy
Bloom is intended for adults and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.
8. Data Retention
We keep your information for as long as you use the App, and until you ask us to delete it or it is no longer needed to provide the App.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will update the date at the top when we do. Your continued use of the App after changes means you accept the updated Policy.
